2021 Potato Varieties

Baby Lou

Prolific variety that can set up to 40 tubers per hill. Uniform and excellent as a creamer or baby potato. 1-2" diameter. Medium to late maturing.

Fingerling Mix

A fun mix of different colored fingerling potatoes.

Norland Dark Red

The ‘Red Norland’ potato is great for cooking, very healthy and easy to grow! Very good for boiling and salads. Good for frying, roasting, and French frying. This is an outstanding red potato that offers both great flavor and heavy yields. ‘Norland’ has a nice dark red skin color that contrasts against the bright white inner flesh that is especially appealing. ‘Red Norland’ potatoes are oblong, smooth, slightly flattened, medium red with shallow eyes. Specifically developed for northern growers and short seasons but found to be widely adaptable in many climates. Small eyes and smooth, thin red skin make for easy peeling with very little waste. Good keeper, but loses color intensity in long term storage. ‘Red Norland’ Potatoes matures in 90-100 days, or mid-season. Compact plants, ideal for small gardens.

King Edward

This is an old European variety, a creamy white flesh with white skin and a pink blush on the skin. It's a favorite for boiling and mashing. Millions of hair like bristles grow on the leaves giving it some natural protection from aphids that carry viruses. This is a mid to late summer variety with great yields.

Terra Rosa

Smooth skinned, shallow eyed beauty! Magenta skin with matching flesh. Up to 10oz tubers. A mid to late summer variety that yields well.

Cal White

A newer large white skinned variety with great tasting white flesh. An incredible yielder that matures early. Stands some stress and will produce well under most conditions.

Blackberry

Newer variety that sets up to 10 smooth shallow-eyed tubers per hill. Beautiful with its dark purple skin and flesh!

Blue Belle

Newer variety. Yellow skin with purple splashes and great tasting yellow flesh with a creamy texture. Produces up to 12 uniform tubers per hill. Medium maturing.

Red Chieftan

A mid-season variety with white flesh. Good choice for heavier soils. Stores well. Plant 1/sqft. Matures in 80-100 days. Yields 1/2-3lbs potatoes from each start.

Bintje

A classic Dutch variety released in 1910, Bintje (pronounced "benjee") is still widely grown in Europe. Oblong tubers have smooth yellow skin and creamy golden flesh. Yummy for corn chowder! Produces a large tuber set, so space the plants at 16"-18". Good choice for grow bags or towers. Resistant to viruses, but can be susceptible to scab and late blight. Compact medium plant with small white flowers.

Huckleberry Gold

A newer variety with beautiful purple skin, shallow eyes, and a wonderful yellow flesh. The tubers are very uniform in size. It sets from 5 to 7 tubers per hill. It has tested well with many chefs on the west coast. It has a very creamy buttery texture that makes great mashed potatoes or served as baby potatoes with your favorite steak. A mid to late summer variety.

Banana

Popular fingerling! Big yielder at 40 tubers per hill possible. A late maturing variety that's good boiled, fried or in your favorite salad.

Yukon Gold

Classic all purpose boiling potato, slightly sweet, with a smooth, slightly waxy texture and moist flesh. Great for boiling, baking, they make the best French fries. They'll also stand up well to grilling, pan frying and roasting.
